So if you are thinking of getting a new cat or just moved into your new home and realised you need a cat flap installed.

There are lots of cat flaps out there to suit everyones budget.

It all depends on what sort of cat flap you want,  from the low budget range, to a magnetic 4 way or a microchip one, you can even get them with a App for your mobile phone.

If you are thinking of having a cat flap installed in a glass panel like a patio door, you will need a new glass panel, this will involve two visits to your home firstly to measure your glass panel.

Then a second visit to fit your new panel,

You will need a hole in your glass panel to suit your cat flap dimentions, glass companies charge extra for cutting the holes into the glass,

Also just to make you aware, when having a cat flap installed, into a glass panel which is going into a door, or a patio etc, or low level glazing, your new glass will need to be toughened safety glass as standard.

Unfortunatly you cant fit a cat flap to your existing glass panel, as it will be toughened safety glass if its in a door

when considering were to have your cat flap installed, for instance if its going into a glass panel, you will need to buy a cat flap with a tunnel already attached, also you will need a round glass adapter for your cat flap.

If its going into a upvc door panel, again you will need a cat flap with a tunnel attached, always try and do a bit of research yourself,to see if its suitable for were you want to have it istalled.

Maybe you want it fitting into a composite door ? if its a flat surface thats ok if its got mouldings to the door we dont recommend it, also its worth asking the company who fitted your door, if it would still be covered by thier guarantee as some compaines will void, your guarantee its always better to ask.
